Israeli forces conduct incursion in Syria’s Quneitra

QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces on Saturday carried out an incursion into the southern countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria, while artillery shelling targeted the outskirts of the village of Trinjeh in the northern part of the Governorate, with no casualties reported.

Local sources told North Press that five Israeli military vehicles were deployed at the Saida al-Golan junction, where troops established a temporary checkpoint.

According to the sources, Israeli forces stopped several buses and private vehicles, conducting searches and checking the identification documents of civilians passing through the checkpoint.

The sources added that the Israeli army fired two artillery shells at the outskirts of Trinjeh village during the early morning hours, though no damage or injuries were reported.

Residents said the continued Israeli military movements across various parts of Quneitra countryside have fueled growing concern among the local population, particularly amid an increase in such operations in recent weeks.

Areas across Quneitra countryside have witnessed repeated escalations involving Israeli military activity and near-daily artillery shelling.
