SDF’s Abdi, KRG PM stress protecting Kurdistan Region’s security
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) said on Monday that the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), General Mazloum Abdi, held a phone call with the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Masrour Barzani, during which both sides stressed the importance of protecting the security of the Kurdistan Region.
In a statement, the KRG said that Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received a phone call from SDF Commander-in-Chief Mazloum Abdi.
According to the statement, the two sides discussed the general situation in the Kurdistan Region and the latest developments and complexities in the region.
Both Abdi and Barzani reaffirmed the importance of maintaining security, safety, and stability in the Kurdistan Region and the wider region, the statement added.
