Three attacks target SDF positions in Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Unknown gunmen carried out on Saturday evening three separate attacks against the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in different areas of the Deir ez-Zor countryside in eastern Syria.
A military source from the SDF in Deir ez-Zor told North Press that gunmen riding a motorcycle opened fire with a machine gun on an SDF patrol near the entrance to the town of Susah in eastern Deir ez-Zor.
“The attack injured three SDF members and was followed by brief clashes that lasted several minutes,” the source said.
He added that a second attack targeted an SDF military headquarters between the towns of Hajin and al-Bahra, also using machine guns. The assault resulted in material damage only.
In a third incident, unknown gunmen fired a rocket at an SDF headquarters in the village of Takihi, east of Deir ez-Zor. No casualties or injuries were reported.
