QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – An Israeli drone carried out two airstrikes on Wednesday targeting the road linking the town of Beit Jinn to Tal Bat al-Ward in the countryside of Damascus, according to a local source.
The source told North Press that the drone hovered over the area for several minutes before launching the strikes on a route that residents said is rarely used. The targeted road lies in a mountainous zone where Syrian government forces and affiliated groups are present, though no official statement had been issued by Damascus at the time of reporting.
Following the attack, several residents of Beit Jinn headed to the impact site after the drone left the area. According to the source, they did not find casualties or visible remnants of personnel in the vicinity. The extent of material damage has not yet been confirmed.
Local residents said the attack caused brief tension in surrounding villages, though movement later returned to normal. No military or civilian bodies in the region have released an official statement regarding the incident.
