Coalition, SDF conduct second nighttime live-fire drills in Syria’s Hasakah
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – For a second consecutive night, forces of the U.S.-led Global Coalition and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) carried out on Tuesday night joint military exercises at Qasrok base in the northern countryside of Hasakah, northeastern Syria.
According to a base insider, the drills — conducted overnight Tuesday — involved live ammunition and warplanes striking simulated targets both inside the base and its surroundings.
Local residents reported hearing loud explosions just after midnight, accompanied by heavy warplane activity over the base area.
The source added that the operations are part of ongoing, regular training between the Coalition and the SDF, aimed at maintaining readiness.
Observers note that such training — combining live-fire ground drills with air support — underscores continued coordination between the Coalition and the SDF amid persistent security threats in northeastern Syria.
