Israeli forces continue incursions in Quneitra Countryside

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces conducted on Tuesday multiple incursions into the Quneitra countryside, raising tensions among local residents following the advance of military vehicles and troop carriers.

A local source told North Press that seven Israeli military vehicles and troop carriers moved toward the town of Bir Ajam in central Quneitra. The unit later split into two groups, with half continuing their incursion toward the nearby town of Ruweihina. No clashes or gunfire were reported during the movements.

“These maneuvers surprised the residents and caused widespread concern,” the source said, noting that locals remained indoors due to fear and tension.

Simultaneously, another Israeli force comprising nine four-wheel-drive vehicles advanced in the southern Quneitra axis toward the town of Ain Ziwan. The unit reportedly positioned itself near the Koudna Dam and remained there at the time of reporting.
