“Men of Dignity” welcomes formation of armed group in Syria’s Suwayda
SUWAYDA, Syria (North Press) – The Rijal al-Karama Movement (Men of Dignity) welcomed on Sunday the announcement by several local factions in Suwayda Governorate, southern Syria, of their full merger under the name “National Guard Forces,” describing it as a step toward unity during a critical phase.
“We welcomes the announcement issued by the spiritual leadership regarding the integration of local factions into an organized military body,” the Movement declared in a statement.
The Movement stressed that such integration is a necessity imposed by the current circumstances, as the Druze community defends its existence “against aggressors and those with ambitions,” according to the statement.
The movement criticized what it described as “the dangerous role played by certain media outlets that ignore basic professional standards by publishing misleading and false statements in the name of the Rijal al-Karama Movement.”
It emphasized that its official positions are announced exclusively through its verified channels.
On Saturday, a number of armed groups in Suwayda announced their full merger under the “National Guard Forces.”
