Israel reports rocket strikes in Tel Aviv as Iran threatens new attacks
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Israeli police announced on Tuesday that rockets and shrapnel from Iranian strikes fell in Tel Aviv, triggering air raid sirens and causing material damage, though no casualties were reported.
Meanwhile, Iran claimed it had struck “strategic targets” in Israel using drones. Commander of the Iranian Army’s Ground Forces, Kiomars Heidari, said that various types of destructive drones equipped with precision-guided capabilities targeted and destroyed strategic sites in Tel Aviv and Haifa.
In a statement, Israeli police confirmed that fragments from rockets landed in the Tel Aviv area, resulting in property damage.
Israel’s Fire and Rescue Services also reported receiving initial alerts about rocket impacts and subsequent fires in the Dan region, near Tel Aviv. They noted a surge in emergency calls from residents in the Gush Dan area.
According to Iran’s state news agency IRNA, a senior Iranian military official warned that the attacks would escalate in the coming hours, claiming that a new wave of hundreds of drones will soon target Israel.
The Israeli-Iranian conflict has now entered its fifth day. Israeli warplanes reportedly carried out new strikes on Tehran, with a senior Israeli general staff official stating that Iran’s defenses had been breached.
The official said they are operating freely in Iranian airspace, emphasizing that a ceasefire would only occur on Israeli terms—terms that, he noted, have not yet matured.
