Abdi congratulates Trump, vows cooperation for stability in NE Syria

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – General Mazloum Abdi, Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) issued on Monday a statement congratulating U.S. President Donald Trump on his inauguration as the 47th president of the United States of America.

In a tweet posted on his official X platform, Abdi underscored his forces’ commitment to continued collaboration with the United States in Northeast Syria.

He highlighted the importance of joint efforts to achieve stability in the region, defeat terrorism, and support long-term peace.

This statement followed a history of collaboration between the SDF and U.S. forces, with significant successes against ISIS in Northeast Syria marking a cornerstone of their partnership.

Abdi’s message reflects a continued desire to strengthen ties and focus on shared objectives, including combating extremism and fostering stability in a volatile region.
