Iraq’s Islamic Resistance claims attack on al-Tanaf US base in Syria
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Islamic Resistance of Iraq, affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), claimed on Saturday responsibility for targeting al-Tanaf US military base, on the Syrian-Iraqi border.
The Islamic Resistance of Iraq said, in a statement, that it carried out the attack against the US military base, using two drones.
The Islamic Resistance of Iraq has carried out a series of attacks against US military bases in Syria since the beginning of the war between Hamas an Israel.
The two drones hit their target directly in al-Tanf base, the statement read.
Military sources told North Press that a missile strike US base at the Abu Hajar Airport near the village of Kharab al-Jir, northeast Syria.
On Oct. 26, the Islamic Resistance of Iraq claimed responsibility for a rocket attack on a US base near the town of Shaddadi, northeast Syria.
