NW Syria records new cholera infections
IDLIB, Syria (North Press)— Regions of northwestern Syria recorded on Monday seven new infections of cholera.
The Early Warning, Alert and Response Network (EWARN) said that the suspected cholera cases are 531, including seven confirmed cases, five in the cities of Idlib and Harem and two in the Afrin region, in northwestern Syria.
The total of confirmed cases in northwestern Syria have reached 946 and the total number of deaths have reached 24 since September 2022, when the first cholera case was reported in the region, added the EWARN.
The same network announced on Friday recording hundreds of suspected cases in northwestern Syria.
