Syrian government reopens Aleppo airport after Israeli attack

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) –  The Syrian Civil Aviation Authority announced that Aleppo International Airport would resume flights tomorrow evening, Syria’s state news agency, SANA, reports. The airport had been struck by Israeli missiles on April 27.

According to the statement, the government’s engineers have repaired all the damage.

Israel had conducted a missile attack on the immediate vicinity of the airport on Monday, April 27, killing a government soldier, and wounding seven other people, including two civilians.

According to SANA, the attack had been conducted by warplanes flying in from the Mediterranean Sea.

On March 7, four Israeli F-16 aircrafts of the Israeli Air Force launched attacks on the Aleppo International Airport, putting it out of service.

In addition, the airport was put out of service on March 22 after an Israeli airstrike, according to the Syrian Ministry of Transport.
