Four Israeli F-16 aircrafts targeted Aleppo airport – Khmeimim

ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – The Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria said on Wednesday that four Israeli F-16 aircrafts of the Israeli Air Force launched attacks on Aleppo International Airport a day earlier.

Deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation, Oleg Gurinov, said in a briefing that the tarmac and radar of the airport sustained damage as a result of the bombing and that the airport has temporarily been put out of service.

At dawn on Tuesday, Aleppo International Airport was hit by Israeli airstrikes. An Israeli research center said the assault may have targeted Iranian positions at the Nayrab military compound inside Aleppo’s airport.

Israel has repeatedly struck Iranian and Lebanese Hezbollah positions in Syria, but rarely acknowledges doing so as part of a policy of not commenting on such attacks.
