QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Security branches of the Syrian government arrest more than 3,000 Palestinian refugees, Action Group for Palestinians of Syria (AGPS) documented on Sunday.
The Syrian government still conceals the fate of 3.076 Palestinian refugees, including 110 women, according to AGPS.
Thousands of Palestinian detainees face unknown fate in Syrian jails, according to the source.
Syrian security forces carry out inhuman practices against the detainees, especially women, including torturing them using electric shocks, whipping, and beating with iron, the source added, citing ex-prisoners.
The government killed 643 Palestinian refugees under torture in its jails, including women, children and elderly, according to AGPS.
Numbers can be more, as there are no official statistics issued by the Syrian government, the source added.
