Strike, protest in Afrin’s Jindires over killing of 4 civilians by SNA
JINDIRES, Syria (North Press) – The town of Jindires in Afrin countryside, north of Aleppo, witnessed on Tuesday a protest following the killing of four civilian Kurds at the hands of a Jaysh al-Sharqiya, a faction affiliated with the Turkish-backed opposition’s Syrian National Army (SNA).
A source told North Press, “The town’s residents took to the streets in a protest against the security chaos in the town, demanding the exist of all SNA factions.”
The source said that the “residents also demanded accountability for the perpetrators who killed four civilians while they were celebrating Newroz in front of their house.”
The source noted that the residents launched a general strike and closed their shops.
“The bodies of those killed reached the town, and they will be buried later,” he said.
