SDF deploys around al-Sinaa, Allaya prisons in NE Syria

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, commandos units of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) deployed in the vicinity of al-Sinaa Prison and a nearby US base in Hasakah city. They also took similar security measures in the vicinity of Allaya Prison, east of Qamishli city. Both prisons house militants of the Islamic State (ISIS).

A security source told North Press, “The security measures in Hasakah are taken just in case something happens inside al-Sinaa Prison or in its vicinity.”

He added that these measures coincide with information indicating that ISIS affiliates are preparing for riots in the prisons and in the Hawl Camp, which holds around 50.000 of the family members of ISIS militants.

The security source said that during dust storms, which are taking place now in the region, ISIS militants attempt to flee prisons while ISIS women try to do the same in the notorious camp.
