AANES opens crossings for humanitarian aid for quake-affected areas
RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced on Sunday opening all its-run crossings for convoys of humanitarian aid for areas that are impacted by the earthquake.
The AANES called on the UN and the international community to open all the crossings around Syria, especially in light of the ongoing catastrophe.
On Feb. 6, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit southern Turkey and northwest Syria, leading to large-scale destruction and thousands of deaths.
The AANES issued circular No. 291, informing all its-run crossings to allow the passage of humanitarian aid into disaster zones.
In addition, the AANES guaranteed providing all needed facilitations for the humanitarian convoys that will pass through its-run crossings.
