Earthquake toll rises to 63 deaths, injuries in AANES-held areas

ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – Co-chair of the Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) Jiwan Mustafa said the outcome of deaths and injuries of the earthquake that hit Syria and Turkey rose to 63 in the AANES-held areas.

Mustafa said six people lost their lives and 44 others were injured in Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo city. Seven injuries were reported in Shahba region (north of Aleppo), four in Kobani and two in Manbij.

Mustafa said hospitals in AANES-held areas are ready to provide medical care to people of North and East Syria and those outside the region.

At around 04:17 on Monday, a disastrous 7.7-magnitude earthquake hit a number of areas in Syria claiming hundreds of lives and damaging and destroying houses and building in different areas.
