Syrian, Iranian FMs deny use of Iranian drones in Ukraine

DAMASCUS, (North Press) – On Monday, foreign ministers of Syria and Iran denied “West’s allegations” that Iranian drones were used by the Russia in its war against Ukraine.

In a phone call, Syrian Foreign Minister, Faisal Mekdad, and his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amirabdollahian, discussed the “baseless” propaganda by the West and Israel against Iran regarding the war in Ukraine, according to state-run SANA News Agency.

Mekdad said, “Syria will continue to support Iran and the Iranian people in facing Western and Israeli conspiracies,” SANA reported.

Regarding the use of Iranian drones, Mekdad said it is a mere new propaganda within the misguidance campaign by the West against the firm position of Iran and to subvert its independent stances.

He called on the West to stop such acts and policies against Iran.

Iranian drones opened a new horizon in the Russian-Ukrainian as Ukraine claims Russia received 2400 drones which are used as alternatives to target power facilities and strike fear among locals.

However, Iran and Russia deny that describing it “baseless.”
