Unknown gunmen kill young man in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, a young man was killed by the bullets of unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria, a few days after his return from Turkey to his town.

 Omar al-Ali (18) was shot dead today by masked gunmen riding a motorcycle in the town, a source close to the family of the victim in the town of al-Busayrah, 35 east of Deir ez-Zor, said.

 Al-Ali was taken to al-Fayha Hospital in the town immediately after his injury, but he died on the way to the hospital, the source added.

The same source pointed out that the young man returned from Turkey four days ago. He had traveled to Turkey after receiving a death threat from cells affiliated with the Islamic State (ISIS).

Assassination attempts against members of the Syrian Democratic Forces, employees of the Autonomous Administration institutions, tribal notables and residents are increasing in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, some of which have been claimed by (ISIS).

On Tuesday, the Syrian Democratic Forces arrested two ISIS members in the town of Thiban in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
