Russia, Turkey conduct patrol in Syria’s Kobani countryside
KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, the Russian Military Police conducted a joint patrol with Turkish forces in the eastern countryside of Kobani, northern Syria.
This is the 59th joint patrol between both forces in the region since the Russian-Turkish agreement in 2019 regarding the ceasefire in northeast Syria.
The patrol, which consisted of eight Russian and Turkish armored vehicles accompanied by two Russian helicopters, set out from the village of Gharib, 15 kilometers east of Kobani.
The patrol roamed several villages in the countryside of Kobani.
The Turkish armored vehicles returned to Turkey through the gate near the village of Gharib, while the Russian military vehicles returned to their position near a radio tower, west of Kobani.
On June 24, the Russian Military Police and the Turkish forces conducted their 58th joint patrol in the eastern countryside of Kobani.
