DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, two children and a young man lost their lives, and eight others were injured in a clan infighting between two families in the town of Thiban, east of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
The cause of the dispute “is still unknown, and medium and light weapons were used in it,” a local source from the town told North Press.
Three of the injured were taken to Hasakah hospitals “due to the seriousness of their conditions”, while the rest were taken to a hospital in the town, the source added.
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) cordoned off the town and set up security checkpoints to separate the two parties, according to the source.
On May 18, two civilians lost their lives in a tribal infighting in the town of al-Suwar, north of Deir ez-Zor.
