Second semester university exams start in Syria’s Kobani
KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, students of the University of Kobani, north Syria, started exams of second semester of the academic year of 2020/2021.
The University of Kobani was established on September 30, 2017 with only two faculties: the Faculty of Sciences including Physics, chemistry and Math Departments, and the Faculty of Arts including Kurdish Language and Literature Department, in addition to an Institute of medical laboratory, which was found in 2020, where students study for two years.
“There are 242 students from all specializations are sitting for their exams and about 42 exam proctors distributed to two shifts in order to monitor the examination process,” Fadel Fadel, member of the Examination Committee in Kobani University said.
“Today, students will sit for 11 subjects each of which is for a different department,” Fadel added.
He pointed out that exams will end on June 26.
“Releasing results will start on July 5 following procedures of correcting, proofreading and revising of examination papers,” he noted.
The current academic year will witness the graduation of the first batch of students from both faculties in addition to students of the institute of medical laboratory.
