Israeli forces conduct incursion in Syria’s Daraa
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces on Monday conducted an incursion into the western countryside of Daraa, southern Syria, accompanied by intensive drone flights over the area.
According to local sources who spoke to North Press, an Israeli force comprising six military vehicles and infantry troops entered Maariyah village in western Daraa, where it positioned itself near a neighborhood adjacent to the main road.
The incursion coincided with intensive drone activity over the area, while no further information was immediately available about the operation.
On Sunday, a high-level Syrian delegation headed by Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani and including the heads of the General Intelligence and Military Intelligence agencies held a meeting with a high-level Israeli delegation, mediated by the United States and hosted by Jordan, according to SANA.
