Celebration on Syrian territory with Turkish flag only

ALEPPO COUNTRYSIDE, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, Turkish officials opened a residential complex in the city of Jarablus in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, where they raised the Turkish flag only without raising the flag of the opposition.

A private source told North Press that before the opening, so many Turkish flags were placed over the public facilities inside the residential complex, which took 18 months to be completed before its opening.

This residential complex is the third since Turkey and its affiliated armed groups took control of Jarablus in 2016.

The source indicated that the Turkish deputy governor of Gaziantep, accompanied by officials from the education and health sectors in Gaziantep attended the opening, as well as local authorities in Jarablus.

On February 23, Turkish officials opened a cultural center in Jarablus, in light of the continuous Turkification policy followed by Turkey in its Syrian areas of control.

On March 16, the President of the University of Health Sciences in Istanbul, Cevdet Erdöl, announced the opening of the Faculty of Medicine and the Public Health Institute in the town of al-Ra’i, in Aleppo northern countryside.

Turkey continues its policy to change the demographic of the areas it controls in northwest Syria.
