Government forces renew bombing opposition groups in northwest Syria
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, the Syrian government forces renewed their bombing on the fortifications of the armed opposition groups in the de-escalation zone.
“The government forces bombed the fortifications of the opposition groups in the villages and towns of al-Fatira and Kansafra in Zawiya Mountain in the southern countryside of Idlib, with artillery shells and rocket launchers,” a field source told North Press.
“The bombing coincided with intense flight of drones and warplanes over the area, without information about casualties,” the source added.
In the same context, al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room announced the killing of two members of the government forces and the wounding of two others during the past 24 hours in the southeastern countryside of Idlib.
On Monday morning, sniping companies of the opposition groups managed to kill a government member in the city of Saraqeb, east of Idlib, according to a field source.
The sniping companies killed a member and wounded two others on the fronts of Kafr Battikh and Jobas in the southeastern countryside of Idlib, the source added.
