Israeli forces carry out two incursions in southern Syria

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Two Israeli military forces entered the Yarmouk Basin in western Daraa countryside, southern Syria, within a few hours of each other on Sunday, according to local sources.

A seven-vehicle Israeli force entered the Yarmouk Basin early Sunday. Three vehicles briefly entered Jamla village, while four others took positions along the Saisoun-Jamla road before withdrawing with their vehicles and infantry through Wadi al-Raqad, local sources said.

A second force, also consisting of seven vehicles, entered the Yarmouk Basin later Sunday, the sources added.

The two incursions raised concerns among local residents and prompted questions about their purpose, while there were no reports of the Israeli military arresting anyone in the area.
