Syria’s Autonomous Administration records 55 new coronavirus infections
QAMISHLI, Syria (North press) – On Sunday, the Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced one death and 55 new coronavirus infections in northeast Syria.
AANES’ Facebook page quoted Jiwan Mustafa, the co-chair of the AANES Health Board, who stated that the death case is a man from Raqqa.
The new infections were recorded as the following: 17 in Hasakah, 13 in Qamishli, 3 in Derik, 17 in Tabqa, 4 in Raqqa, and 1 in Manbij.
With the announcement of these new cases, the number of people infected with coronavirus in the regions of northeast Syria has reached 8,828 confirmed cases, including 338 deaths and 1,254 recoveries.
