Opposition groups set fire to villagers’ homes in Syria’s Hasakah
TEL TAMR, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, pro-Turkish armed opposition groups burned civilians’ homes in a village under their control in the countryside of the town of Tel Tamr, north of Hasakah, northeast Syria.
Local sources from the area said that the armed opposition groups intentionally set fire to the houses of the displaced in the village of al-Qasimiyah, in the countryside of Tel Tamr.
The sources added that smoke was seen rising from the village at noon on Saturday.
The sources also stated, citing the displaced of the village, that the groups had stolen and looted all the contents of the village’s homes and sold them in the markets of the city of Sere Kaniye.
The village of al-Qasimiyah is located 3 km northwest of the town of Tel Tamr in the northern countryside of Hasakah.
