High death toll due to Turkish shelling on Tel Rifaat of Syria’s Aleppo
ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – The death toll of the Turkish shelling that targeted the town of Tel Rifaat, north of Aleppo, rose to four after one of the injured lost his life due to his injury, on Sunday.
Roj Kelko, director of the Kurdish Red Crescent (KRC) media office, told North Press that Sa’ad Eddin al-Uss,30, lost his life due to his injury.
“He is one of the residents of Tel Rifaat, while eight others are still receiving treatment at Avrin Hospital, in Fafin village in the northern countryside of Aleppo,” he added.
“Al-Uss was transferred yesterday afternoon to the city of Aleppo, immediately due to the seriousness of his health condition as a result of his injury by shrapnel of the shell that targeted Tel Rifaat,” he explained.
On Sunday, the Autonomous Administration of Afrin region, in the northern countryside of Aleppo, buried the body of a woman who lost her life as a result of the Turkish shelling that targeted the town of Tel Rifaat.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) condemned the Turkish forces’ targeting of civilians in the town of Tel Rifaat and called on both Russia and the US to stop targeting civilians.
On Saturday evening, the Turkish forces targeted the town of Tel Rifaat killing three civilians and injuring 7 others.
