Two members of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) were injured as a motorcycle exploded in Al-Tala’i/Agri Rasho square in Hasakah, northeastern Syria.
According to a source inside the Internal Security Forces who told North-Press reporter that at about 11:10 am this morning, a parked motorcycle exploded near the Academy of “Martyr Aziz”, previously known as Industry Institute, as two members of the Internal Security Forces were passing through at the same time.
The source, who refused to be identified, said that one of the their members was seriously injured and was taken to a medical center for treatment.
The internal security forces imposed a security cordon, and took strict security measures in anticipation of improvised explosive devices or other motorcycle bombs in the region.
On June 8th, two Self-Defense Forces members were injured in the city of Hasakah, while on the 23rd of May last year, a suicide bomber blew himself up on a motorcycle in a neighborhood in Tal-Tamer in the western countryside of Hasakah, causing no damage.
