Arresting a cell of Islamic State in an airborne operation in southern Qamishli countryside

Global Coalition backed counter-terrorism Units (YAT) carried out airborne operation last night in the countryside of Tal Hamees town, south of Qamishli, northeast of Syria, arresting a terrorist cell of Islamic State.

According to a special source told North-Press that the operation took place yesterday night in the countryside of Tal Hamees, near the Iraqi-Syrian border.

Moreover, the source added that the operation resulted in the arrest of  two members of the cell , namely, Sabah Ali Muhammad and Razak Ali Muhammad.

Furthermore, the source also indicated that the detained members of Islamic State’s cell were having pistols, stores, and hand grenades, in addition to electronic tools used in the work of the cell.

It is worth mentioning that Global Coalition Forces and units of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) carried out joint airborne operations in several areas north and eastern Syria, led to the death of members of terrorist cells, leaders, and security prominent figures of Islamic State group.
