Car explosion, security chaos spread in Euphrates Shield areas, al-Raei and al-Bab

A large explosion took place in the town of al-Raei by a car bomb at the police station, in conjunction with clashes between the military police of al-Bab city and the residents of al-Najjar family's neighborhood, in Aleppo’s northern countryside this morning.

As a powerful explosion by a car bomb in front of a military police station rocked the town of al-Raei, on the Syrian-Turkish borders, on Friday morning, in Aleppo's northern countryside, which is controlled by Turkish-backed armed opposition groups “Euphrates Shield”.

A footage taken by observation cameras, which was circulated by activists on social media, showed the moment the car exploded in front of the main door of the police station, causing deaths and injuries, whom identity are not yet identified but are likely to be military guards of the center.

This followed an explosion of an IED in a car in the public square in the town of al-Raei yesterday evening, which resulted in injuries.

Upon yesterday's events in al-Bab, in Aleppo northeastern countryside, the military police surrounded al-Najjar family's neighborhood in the city center with heavy weapons, and were equipped to break into it.

Where violent clashes broke out, on Thursday evening, between members of the military police and armed members of the family of al-Najjar in the city of al-Bab, resulting in a death and injuries.

And that's when the military police went to arrest wanted members of al-Najjar family, who refused to surrender, which led to clashes between the two parties during which al-Najjar family armed men used medium machine guns and RPGs, resulting in the death of a military police officer of Homs IDPs, Khaled al-Nasser, 4 others were injured.

The city of Al-Bab frequently witnesses similar clashes, either between police and wanted men, or between militants of Turkish-backed armed opposition groups, as a result of the spread of arms and security chaos under Turkish-backed armed opposition groups in Aleppo’s northern countryside “Euphrates Shield”.
