The fourth joint Russian-Turkish military patrol began on Monday, at the border between Syria and Turkey in the area between west of Qamishli and east of Ras al-Ain (Sere-Kaniye). The patrol started from the border village of Shirik, in the countryside of Derbasiya, to patrol villages located west and southwest of the town of Derbasiya.
The patrol consisted of four Turkish military armored vehicles that joined a convoy of Russian military police composed of the same number of vehicles at Shirik gate, west of Derbasiya. Each convey contained 24 soldiers.
This patrol is the fourth of its kind, and the second one in west of Qamishli, where the two sides carried out earlier a joint patrol there, which included about 17 villages and covered about 60km up to 100km.
