Casualties among the Syriac Council Forces in an attack by Turkey’s armed groups

The Syriac Military Council, which is deployed in the countryside of Tal Tamr along the lines of contact against the Turkish military and its affiliated armed opposition groups within northern Tal Tamr countryside, has reported casualties among its forces.
The Council announced the loss of one of its fighters and the capture of three others, following the attack on al-Rihaniya area in northern Tal Tamr countryside, amid fears for the lives of those fighters.

The Syriac Military Council called on the United States and Russia to put pressure on Turkey and to abide it by the agreements concluded with to stop the military operations, while pledging to continue protecting the Assyrian and Syriac presence in al-Khabur area, and the entire Syrian homeland.

Military operations are continuing in the town’s countryside, with heavy shelling and violations of the regional-international agreement concluded by the Turkish military and its affiliated armed opposition groups, where they targeted areas of al-Qasimiya, al-Rihania, and al-Rashidiya.

The shelling coincides with a response by the Syrian Democratic Forces deployed in the area, amid sporadic clashes between the two sides.

North-Press reported the fierce clashes that centered in al-Manakh village, in Tal Tamir countryside, accompanied by intensive shelling by the Turkish military and its affiliated armed groups.

The shelling targeted the villages of Um al-Kaif, Rashidiya, al-Qasimiya, and Rihaniya, and other areas linking them with other villages in the countryside of Tal Tamer and Abu Rasin (Zargan), in an attempt by Turkey’s armed groups to advance in the area and control more lands.

The shelling caused casualties, including a member of local media staff.
