U.S. forces evacuating “Serrin” military base, south of Kobani

North-Press got information that the United States forces at their last military base in the western part of northeastern Syria are withdrawing some batches of their troops. The U.S. forces continue to empty the military base in the village of “Sappat” on the M4, some kilometers to the east of the town of Serrin, southern Kobani.

On Wednesday, a new convoy has withdrawn from “Sappat” military base heading towards the M4 highway to al-Jazira region, while it isn't known whether the convoy would be heading to other U.S. bases in Hasakah countryside or to Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

The U.S. forces withdrawal is continuing in conjunction with sounds of explosions heard in the evacuated U.S. base, that are difficult to transport, while the withdrawal continues since the beginning of this month following the arrival of a convoy of dozens of empty carriers, coming from the area of ​​Tal Bayder, north of Hasakah.

The U.S. withdrawals process carried out days earlier of a number of military vehicles and carriers that transported logistical and military equipment from “Sappat” base towards al-Jazira region on the M4 highway, which is still blocked until now due to the control of the Turkish-backed armed groups over a part of the highway.
