Presidency of Autonomous Administration meets with Deir ez-Zor Civil Council to support and improve services
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Co-chair of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria Abdulhamid Mahbash held a meeting for all councils and municipalities Tuesday at the headquarters of the Deir ez-Zor Civil Council in order to improve the service reality of the city after calls from elders and leaders of the tribes to support the region.
The meeting was held at the Council’s headquarters in the Ma’mal area in the presence of the Presidency of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration, and all the heads of councils, municipalities, and service centers in Deir ez-Zor, in addition to prominent figures from the region.
Mahbash said that the Administration seeks to "overcome obstacles that face the process of development and reconstruction, and the advancement of service reality" in Deir ez-Zor.
In an interview with North Press, he pointed out that "the Autonomous Administration has set a special budget for Deir ez-Zor Civil Council to support the region."
Furthermore, the residents and the figures who attended the meeting demanded solutions to the problems which the region suffers from, such as maintaining security in all towns and villages, increasing work opportunities, addressing electricity and water problems, supporting bakeries, and caring for the agricultural sector.
Deir ez-Zor has suffered from power outages for more than five years and residents depend on private generators, which negatively affects the water sector and stops all drinking water stations in several areas in Deir ez-Zor.
