“Sara Organization” for the elimination of violence against women called on the international community to take the responsibility for the brutal murder of the Secretary-General of Future Syria Party, Hevrin Khalaf, as a crime against humanity. At the conclusion of the activities of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women in the city of Qamishli, northeastern Syria, Sara Organization made a statement, in which it has called for holding the murderers accountable and bringing them into international courts, who had brutally executed the senior Kurdish politician.

The organization called for following up on the case of Hevrin Khalaf in an international level, and to continue the activities of denouncing the Turkish crimes.

Since the start of the military invasion in northeastern Syria, the Turkish military and its affiliated armed opposition groups have committed violations and crimes against the people of the region, particularly women activists and community actors, according to the statement.

On October 12, the Turkish-backed armed groups executed the Secretary-General of Future Syria Party Hevrin Khalaf along with a number of civilians on the M4 highway, in northeastern Syria.

Sara Organization launched a series of activities on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, where the activities lasted for 16 days, and ended yesterday on Tuesday.
