"We lost thousands of martyrs to liberate northern Syria from ISIS, but Turkey wants to take our areas" – Arab tribal figures

Arab tribal figures and sheikhs in the town of al-Shaddadi, south of Hasakah have expressed their rejection regarding the Turkish military invasion in northeastern Syria, and the massacres they committed against the civilians on the bordering line, and they appealed to the guarantor states to stop the attacks.

Mohammad al-Hellow, the sheikh of Albo-Amera tribe in al-Shaddadi told North-Press that, the sheikhs and elders of the Arab tribes in al-Shaddadi and the southern regions condemn and reject the military attacks and infiltrations which are being carried out by Turkey in the northern regions.  

Al-Hellow stressed that, Turkey violates the internationally conditioned truce, "and we call on the guarantor states to stop these attacks, which have led to the displacement of thousands of civilians and terrorizing children, women and parents.”   

He added that, the SDF forces have lost thousands of martyrs and still in the fight against the Islamic State (ISIS), and that Turkey's military campaigns are still continuing on the borders.  

The sheikh of Albo-Amera tribe appealed to the guarantor states to "stop the Turkish military attacks against the people in northeastern Syria".

While Abdullah al-Rawi, the head of al-Rawi tribe in al-Shaddadi said that, all Arab tribal elders in al-Shaddadi "condemn Turkey's attacks on northern Syria.”

Al-Rawi pointed out that, members of the Arab tribes "fought alongside the SDF, liberated northern Syria from ISIS and lost thousands of martyrs,”

"Turkey wants to take our land, we reject this invasion in our regions, and we call on the international community to stop the Turkish military invasion,” he added.
