Damascus’ statements against Autonomous Administration evidence of failure and obstruction of political vision: Autonomous Admin official

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press)- Riyad Dirar, co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, said on Monday that ”all statements issued by the Syrian government against the Autonomous Administration are evidence of failure of the political vision, as it is pushing the Syrian people to form relations away from the government."

Dirar’s statements came in response to a source in the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, who said on Sunday that the Syrian government condemns in the strongest terms the agreement signed between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and an American oil company, according to what was reported by the Syrian government's official news agency SANA.

In a statement to North Press, Dirar said that the statements of the representatives of the Syrian government show that they do not read the changes and political reality correctly, and that these statements push the people of Syria to draw policies and relations away from this government.

American Republican Senator Lindsey Graham announced last weekend that an agreement between the SDF and American oil company Delta Crescent Energy was signed to establish two portable oil refineries east of the Euphrates, producing about 20 thousand barrels per day.

Dirar described the government as a failure, and said that its government system proved its failure fifty years ago because it governs matters with a previous vision based on the rule of all peoples under its authority.

“The political vision of the council  is based on a recognition of the Syrian people with a government that works to serve it, not enslave it, as such statements against a large part of the Syrian people are evidence of failure and obstruction of the political vision in Damascus,” he added.

The co-chair of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Abdulhamid al-Mahbash, told North Press on Saturday that the Autonomous Administration is considering applications from Russian and American companies with the aim of investing in various service areas in the region.
