Crashes and tear gas in the third joint Russian-Turkish patrol in Kobani

The third joint Russian-Turkish military patrol in Kobani countryside in northern Syria has ended after roaming Kobani eastern and southeastern countryside for only an hour and a half, as the patrol’s military vehicles ran over a woman's foot in the village of Terri and hit two civilian’s cars. The patrol started from the village of Marj Ismail east of Kobani, passing through the villages of Alishar, Kortek, Terri, Qabajek to the village of Tashlouk Fokani, southeast of Kobani.

 

The patrol entered a depth of about 10km inside the territories of northern Syria, and returned to the village of Ein-Bat and entered the Turkish border near the village of Gharib, east of Kobani. Local residents of those villages protested the joint military patrol with stones, which resulted in the injury of a civilian woman, as a Turkish military vehicle ran over her foot in the village of Terri in the eastern countryside of Kobani, in addition to colliding a civilian car by one of the 8 Russian and Turkish patrol vehicles.

In the village of Ein-Bat, local villagers also protested the military patrol with stones, while the military vehicles hit another civilian car. Additionally, Turkish military vehicles used tear gas against civilian protesters.
