The expert on Iranian affairs Hassan Radi told North-Press that everything Iran provides, is due to the Iranian expansion plan in which Syria is considered as the cornerstone to control the region.
He added: “Through Syria, we can easily reach Lebanon and build relations on the ground with Hezbollah and other factions in Iraq”.
“Iran has made a great effort to get this passage from Tehran to Beirut, via Baghdad and Damascus, and connect them together, so it is trying to control Albu Kamal, Deir ez-Zor and Idlib,” Radi said.
According to Radi, Iran aims to have direct links with these areas through militias, propaganda, networks it has created, service and humanitarian work, bribery and the deception of citizens, which serves its interests implicitly.
Regarding the Iranian economic role, Iran has failed to face the U.S. sanctions and it is in the midst of a regional political and international economic crisis.  According to the Iranian expert, “it cannot build trade relations with major countries”.
Radi added that this forced Iran to keep its doors open with Syria and Iraq, through which it wants to reactivate its economy and circumvent the US sanctions, that is the first aim, then to send its corrupt goods and drugs abroad to make money.
