The Human Rights Commission: The consequences of the Battle of Idlib is Turkey’s responsibility
The Commissioner of the International Commission of Human Rights, said in a statement today, that the results of the Battle of Idlib is Turkey’s responsibility, according to the articles signed by the latter within the Sochi agreement with Russia.
In contrary to the past agreement of 17 September in Sochi, which concerns with the demilitarized zone, that is free of jihadis at a depth of 15 to 20 kilometers, as Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham expanded and controlled the most of Idlib governorate, and the factions fought, had not received the support from the pro-Turkish factions.
“Idlib battle in Syria would not occurred, if the Turkish team was committed to the articles signed with the Russian side in Sochi,” Haitham Abu Sa’eed, Middle East commissioner for the International Human Rights Commission said.
“The first issue is the responsibility of Turkey, which is the one that knows the Syrian-Russian decision, that all Syrian territory ,which is still under the control of the armed groups, must be liberated.” According to Haitham Abu Said.
