Israeli forces enter western Daraa, shell Damascus countryside
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – An Israeli military force entered Wadi al-Raqad in western Daraa countryside on Friday, while Israeli forces shelled the outskirts of Beit Jinn in western Damascus countryside, according to local sources.
The sources told North Press that the Israeli force, consisting of nine military vehicles, carried out a search operation in Wadi al-Raqad before detaining a shepherd who was in the area and taking him to an unknown location.
Syrian state media reported separately that Israeli forces shelled Tal Bat al-Warda near Beit Jinn with several artillery rounds on Friday. No casualties were reported.
The developments come amid continued Israeli military incursions in southern Syria. On September 16, Israeli forces entered Abedin in western Daraa countryside, while on September 15, Israeli forces entered Jabatha al-Khashab in northern Quneitra countryside.
