Syria finds human remains at two sites in Deir ez-Zor
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) — Syria’s National Missing Persons Authority said on Thursday it found human remains at two sites in Deir ez-Zor governorate.
The authority said its teams, in coordination with relevant authorities, responded to reports of human remains in the al-Rasafa neighborhood and the Kashma desert area east of the city.
Specialized teams documented, collected and recovered the remains while preserving evidence and protecting the dignity of the victims, according to the authority.
It urged residents not to approach or disturb sites suspected of containing mass graves, saying this could affect documentation and recovery efforts.
The authority also called on residents to immediately report any information about suspected sites through official channels.
