Israeli forces raid homes in Syria’s Quneitra amid drone activity

QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces on Tuesday carried out incursions into areas of southern Quneitra countryside, southern Syria, conducting searches of several homes while surveillance drones flew over the region.

Local sources told North Press that an Israeli military unit consisting of four vehicles entered the village of Ain Zivan in southern Quneitra, where troops searched a number of houses. No arrests were reported during the operation.

The sources added that the area witnessed intensive flights by Israeli reconnaissance drones while the searches were underway.

In a separate incident, Israeli forces advanced into Abu Qubais Hill in southern Quneitra countryside. Several soldiers accompanied by two tanks entered the area, prompting concern among local residents.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli military announced that it was conducting a military exercise in the Golan Heights. The army said the drill would involve extensive movements of security forces and military vehicles, and that explosions could be heard in the area as part of the exercise.

Southern Quneitra has witnessed repeated Israeli military movements and incursions in recent months, including reconnaissance missions and search operations in villages and border hills, raising concerns among residents about escalating tensions in the region.
