Israeli forces conduct new incursion in Syria’s Quneitra

QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) – Israeli military forces on Saturday carried out an incursion into southern Quneitra countryside, southern Syria, accompanied by drone activity over the area as Israeli operations continue to intensify.

Two days earlier, an Israeli military unit consisting of nine military vehicles entered the village of al-Asbah in southern Quneitra countryside, where troops searched several homes before withdrawing hours later without making any arrests.

Local sources told North Press that Israeli forces advanced into the area between the villages of Hieran and Rafid in southern Quneitra countryside, where they established a temporary checkpoint to inspect civilians passing through the area.

The sources added that the ground operation coincided with the presence of drones flying over the region.

The latest move comes amid a broader increase in Israeli military activity and incursions across parts of southern Syria, particularly in the border areas of Quneitra and Daraa governorates.
