Israeli forces detain four children in Southern Quneitra countryside

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces detained four children on Sunday from a village in the southern countryside of Quneitra while they were herding livestock near Tel Ahmar, according to local sources.

Local sources told North Press that the children, from the village of al-Asha, were grazing livestock in farmland west of Tel Ahmar in Quneitra countryside when an Israeli patrol approached the area and detained them.

The patrol then transferred the children to an unknown location, the sources said.

The incident caused tension among residents in the area, where herding and farming activities are common, raising concerns among locals about the possibility of similar incidents occurring again, particularly involving children.

In a related development, local sources reported that an Israeli force consisting of five military vehicles advanced into the Wadi al-Raqad area in the western countryside of Daraa.

The force moved toward the outskirts of the village of Jamla and deployed at a military site known locally as “Sariyat al-Wadi,” the sources added.

According to the sources, the force remained stationed at the site for a limited period before the situation in the area returned to normal.
