AANES reviews 2025 budget draft, projects $1 billion in expenditures
RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) convened on Monday to discuss the draft law for the 2025 general budget, estimating total expenditures to exceed $1 billion.
According to Article 3 of the draft, which has been approved, total projected revenues for the fiscal year ending on Dec. 13, 2025, are estimated at $855,471,000.
Meanwhile, planned expenditures amount to $1,090,120,000, as stated in Article 4, which was also put to a vote.
Additionally, Article 5 outlines the expected budget deficit, calculated at $234,648,000, based on the gap between anticipated revenues and planned expenditures.
The session remains ongoing as officials continue voting on the remaining 39 articles of the law, which are accompanied by detailed tables categorizing sources of revenue and areas of expenditure.
