Israeli forces launch dozens of airstrikes in Syria
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – The Israeli forces launched on Saturday over 61 airstrikes on Syrian territory in less than five hours, marking a significant escalation in hostilities since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime.
According to reports from AFP and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), these strikes were part of 26 separate attacks carried out by Israeli warplanes since Saturday evening.
On Dec. 13, Israeli forces conducted air raids targeting the Tel al-Qaleeb area and the vicinity of the town of al-Kafr, where military barracks are situated along the road to Suwayda.
Key targets included warehouses of the Syrian Army’s Division 18 in the eastern Homs countryside and Brigade 55 near the village of Hala in the Qalamoun region, located in the Damascus countryside.
Additionally, air defenses at Hama Airport were struck, along with Brigade 47 south of Hama.
In the northern Daraa countryside, weapon depots in the town of Mahajjah were hit, while in the Suwayda countryside, the fifth depot near al-Kafr was also targeted.
